Each block will measure 8 1/2" square when completed
Sew 1 dark 2 1/2" square to 1 light 2 1/2" square. Press seam allowance to the light fabric.
Sew 1 dark 4 1/2" strip to the step 1 combo. It will be on the left side after sewing, and the light 2 1/2" square is in the top right position when opened up.
Sew 1 light 4 1/2" strip onto the step 2 combo. It will be on the top position when opened up. This will be a 4 1/2" square.
Sew 1 dark 6 1/2" strip onto the step 3 combo. It will be on the left side after it is sewn on.
Sew 1 light 6 1/2" strip ono the step step 4 combo. It will be on the top position when opened up. This will be a 6 1/2" square.
Sew 1 dark 8 1/2" strip onto the step 5 combo. It will be on the left side after it is sewn on.
Square up the block to 8 1/2" square.
Make the quilt with 10 blocks across and 12 blocks down in the Barn Raising Layout Borders to be determined after the blocks are all assembled.
